THE SYNAPFIT SESSION
Did you know you can use your body to support your brain, your memory and your mental clarity?
Most approaches train either the brain or the body. Mindeo's SynapFit® session brings them together in a personalized session that is private and coach-led. This gives your brain and body the most benefit possible by giving your brain what it needs. Not a conventional gym, not a sudoku or brain training app.
SynapFit combines low-impact interval movement, interactive cognitive challenge, and a relaxing recovery phase. Different parts of the session create different signals; your coach brings them together in one personalized experience.

The Mindeo Experience
What a SynapFit session feels like
An Orientation visit to Mindeo starts with a tour of the center and a private education session that covers what science has uncovered about the brain and how we can help it to be healthier and function better. A lot has been discovered in the last 10 years!
If someone decides to do a brain fitness program at Mindeo, they come to the center 2 or 3 times per week, for 40 minute SynapFit sessions, lead by a brain fitness coach. We ensure that every client has a clear way to see their progress, so you see reports throughout your program.
Enough challenge to create change. Not so much that you need to recover from your session.
Your coach uses your responses during the session to keep effort in your personalized Brain Fitness Zone™. Rather than asking you to push as hard as possible, the goal is to find the level you can train consistently and progressively build from there.
That makes SynapFit feel very different from a typical workout. The session is designed around repeatable brain-body training, not discomfort or exhaustion.

One session. Complementary science-backed inputs.
Different parts of the SynapFit session create different physical, cognitive and sensory signals. The value is in bringing them together in one coached, accessible, repeatable experience.
Movement with Intervals
Like walking in a hilly neighborhood. Creates cardiovascular and metabolic challenge through controlled changes in effort.
Gentle Compression
Modifies the exercise stimulus so meaningful metabolic demand can be created at relatively low external workload.
Dynamic Body Cooling
Helps to manage heat, core body temperature, comfort and, perceived effort while you move, making it easier to sustain effort.
Cognitive-motor Dual-tasking
Adds cognitive challenge while you are moving, engaging attention, reactions, memory and coordination.
Red Light
Relaxation
Adds a whole-body photobiomodulation stimulus during the recovery phase.
Rhythmic Audio Tracks
Uses structured rhythmic modulation as an additional sensory signal during active training and recovery.
Want to learn more about the mechanisms and research studies behind SynapFit?
Explore the Science Behind SynapFitYour brain depends on the systems that support the rest of you.
Circulation, metabolic health, cardiovascular fitness, cognitive challenge and recovery all influence the conditions in which the brain performs and adapts. SynapFit trains across those systems rather than treating brain fitness as something that happens only on a screen.
Physical
Train cardiovascular, circulatory and metabolic systems through controlled movement.
Cognitive
Challenge attention, executive function, coordination and processing while the body is active.
Recovery
Support repeatable training with deliberate transitions from active work into recovery.
You don’t need to get fit before you start brain fitness.
SynapFit is built for people with very different starting points. Your coach adapts the session to you rather than expecting you to match a class, a leaderboard or somebody else’s fitness level.
The goal is a meaningful, progressive session you can repeat consistently.
SynapFit is designed to
adapt as you do.
A single session is an experience. Repeated sessions are training. Your coach progressively adjusts physical and cognitive challenge as your capacity develops.
Your starting point
Learn the equipment, establish comfortable ranges and see how your brain and body respond.
Learn the rhythm
Become familiar with moving, thinking and recovering within the same guided session.
Progress the challenge
Tailored to your ideal effort level and cognitive demand as the session becomes more familiar.
Track change over time
Use physical, cognitive and self-reported measures to see how things are changing for you.
Cognitive resilience is something we can work to build.
Dr. Reza Ghomi, MD, MSE, discusses cognitive reserve and resilience and why brain health is influenced by the broader biological systems that support it.
This is the bigger idea behind SynapFit: train the brain in the context of the body, not in isolation.
